  1. Oops…forgot to include Dabrowski in the Renaissance list. She is on fire!

  2. As an armchair fan, I have really enjoyed my new-found sport and have loyally followed the Canadians. It looks like maybe even next year we will start seeing a renaissance of Canadian talent at the top levels. I am thinking of Raonic, Shapovalov, Andreescu, Auger-Alliasime, Pospisil and dark horses, Sebov, Sigouin and Branstine.

Hopefully Bouchard will be part of this but I fear she is fading away. This is too bad as she is smart and a compelling personality that millions want to see succeed. So here’s hoping that she rediscovers her mojo soon enough to be part of this renaissance.

    Go Canada!

  3. when you Canadians is this all Canadians or are these your favourites Canadians

because I know of Martin Beran that you never mentioned, he’s 700 in the world and he’s in Greece

  4. Hi Steph, I know you are very busy with tennislife, but would you happen to know what days Pospisil & Shapovalov’s first matches will be? I live about an hour outside of Guadalajara, & would love to see both of them play live, but I cannot find anything on the Jalisco Open website as to when they will be playing. Any info you can give would be greatly appreciated, so that I can buy tickets ASAP. Tks in advance.

    • That’s not information that typically on any website – except sometimes for big-deal players, they’ll announce when their first match is. You could try calling them and speaking to a real human; might have more success.

I know Pospisil is playing Wednesday. Wednesday night I think (not 100% sure). Qualies only start Sunday. Don’t know when Shapovalov is playing.
