Brown didn’t lose a set in three matches; on Thursday, he defeated Andrea Arnaboldi of Italy, 7-6, (1), 6-3, 6-4 to make the main draw.

At the French Open, you might recall, Arnaboldi qualified by winning that two-day marathon over Frenchman Pierre-Hughes Herbert, 27-25 in the third set in the longest-ever qualies match in Paris).
