  1. Speaking of Auckland…. I have never seen a more ugly outfit than the one Taylor Townsend wore against Agga. Shorts should NOT be worn at big WTA events like this one. Something akin to a T shirt should not be worn as well. The WTA should have a dress code. Failing that the tournament director should take a look at what the players are walking out onto the court in. You could find a better outfit at Kmart for $15 than the one Townsend wore. Taylor has to look no further than across the net at Agga’s stylish outfits for idea’s. (Azarenka and Larsonne in shorts looks terrible as well.)

    • To each his own. I didn’t mind it myself.
I’m sure Townsend would wear an outfit like Radwanska’s if she had a contract with a clothing sponsor and was remunerated handsomely for it. Not the situation, though.
As well, Radwanska’s so skinny she’ll make anything look “stylish”. Not everyone is so blessed.
I’m always surprised that more players don’t wear shorts, since that’s mostly what they wear in practice. I vote that they wear what’s most comfortable for them so they can play their best tennis, rather than worry that it might offend the online style police. 🙂
