  1. do you think Tokyo, Wuhan and the other Chinese venues could fill their stands for EVEN ONE DAY if the TICKETS WERE GIVEN AWAY FREE????
    New/next frontier for woman’s tennis: Asia…. I don’t think so…

    • To be fair, except for the very, very biggest guns, they don’t fill the stands too much for men’s tennis, either.
      Obviously, though, there seems to be a fair bit of corporate sponsorship money flowing.
      Hopefully, one begets the other. But I remain unconvinced.
