IW ’14 vids: Ivanovic and her serve

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – It’s not as though Ana Ivanovic doesn’t practice her serve; she does.

Maybe even too much.

But even in practice, it’s dodgy. There is the catching of the tosses. There’s the off-balance reaching out for not-so-good tosses she doesn’t catch.

It’s just the reality she’s living with these days.

Remember when she had a really, really good serve?

Watching along, with Open Court, was Ivanovic’s mother Dragana. This is not the first time. And it occurred to us: how many millions of Ivanovic serves has Mama seen? She must be bored witness by now.
