The Rogers Cup NEEDS YOU!

No, they won’t actually pay you. But there are perks to being a volunteer at the Rogers Cup this summer, just the same.

Here are some links for those interested in spending a week at the tennis this summer.

Here are the various areas that need people. (Typos not mine, but for the grace of God).

Open Court is a proud graduate of the transportation committee which, back in those days, went from Volvos, to Saabs, to Mercedeses. The 7 a.m. shift was the best; you had the rest of the day and evening to watch tennis.

Mr. Open Court is still insanely jealous of the week spent being personal chauffeur to his perfect woman, Gabriela Sabatini. Of course, those “primo” assignments are always snapped up by the same people, but if you know your tennis, there are plenty of recognizable faces to schlep around.

What do you get in return?

*Two tournament t-shirts
*A Rogers Cup jacket
*Official hat
*Official water bottle
*Two tickets for the Rogers Cup in Section 300, from Monday through Thursday. There is also a special section where you can watch when you’re off duty.
*One free meal per shift
*More fun in a week than you’ve had sitting on your butt watching tennis at home all year.
