It looked like Montreal’s Genie Bouchard ran out of gas, mentally and physically, towards the end of her Family Circle Cup semifinal, her third tough three-setter in as many days.
Which is to take nothing away from opponent Andrea Petkovic, who withstood the barrage in the first set and found a way to come back.
