QUEBEC CITY – A Fed Cup draw press conference will not produce any interesting revelations – especially because, for whatever reason, the powers-that-be restrict access to the participants even more than tennis already does.
(You’d think: lots of media – all there for women’s tennis. No men’s tennis to share the spotlight. Yada yada yada. Give people whatever they need. But, not happening).
So there’s really no opportunity to ask a decent question – merely cliché answers to cliché questions in a group setting populated with a lot of general media that don’t know a ton about the sport.
But hey, some people are interested by this stuff.
