MELBOURNE – Marc Lopez has the best job in the world.
He’s a doubles specialist – a good one – and also a F.O.R. (Friend of Rafa).
So he’s happy to go out and be the receiver when Nadal needs to get the lead out, as he did Saturday in a practice session when he aired out his forehand in a major way.
Lopez also entertained Uncle Toni with the old “balancing the ball on the racquet” trick. He was good for at least 30 seconds.
When you’re a doubles spesh, you have time to practice these things.
