NEW YORK – You know how they always say doubles partners should talk to each other – a lot?
Even at the pro level, it doesn’t always happen.
Early in the second set of their first-round match at the US Open, Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and partner Alicja Rosolska had a little, um, failure to communicate on a rather routine overhead.
As you can see, it got a bit like a game of Twister.
Later, it wasn’t quite a laughing matter as, after being up a set, the pair went down to the Ukrainian Kichenok sisters in three.
