US Open pics: Djoker warms up

NEW YORK – Novak Djokovic found himself a pretty decent local hitting partner.

Mario Ancic, the former top-10 player, current lawyer and Manhattan resident, was out there warming up Djokovic for his singles final against Roger Federer.

Still hits a pretty heavy ball. Then again, he’s only three years older than Djokovic, at 31 – and three years younger than Federer.

But he’s been retired for five years, after persistent back issues (and two bouts of mono) took him out of the game.
