TBT: Wozniak and Mattek-Sands play dubs (video)

September, 2009 – 22-year-old Aleksandra Wozniak and 24-year-old Bethanie Mattek (newly -Sands) team up for doubles at the Bell Challenge in Quebec City.

They got to the semis, and played the No. 1 seeds, Vania King and Barbora (then-Zahlavova) Strycova.

Here’s some scratchy video (rescued from an old server – quality most dodgy. But fun).

There was a lot of target practice in this one; King and Strycova won it 10-5 in the match tiebreak, and went on to win the tournament.

(King lost to Mattek-Sands in the second round of singles; Strycova got spanked 6-2, 6-1 by the long-retired Valérie Tétreault in the first round).
