Probably for the last time ever, the two hit – and reminisced about players who are already long gone.
It was sort of poignant, in a way – almost like two elderly men sitting on a park bench, talking about all their old friends who have already gone to the other side.
But not nearly as sentimental, obviously; Federer is still very much at the top of the game, and Hewitt, even though he’s playing here, has already transitioned to his new role as Davis Cup captain.
