PARIS – Milos Raonic and Tomas Berdych, both among the top eight seeds in the men’s singles after the withdrawal of Roger Federer, practice together on Court No. 2 Thursday.
It was a pretty awful hour, weather-wise – at one point, the two players and their teams packed up their gear and sat in a sheltered area under the adjacent Court No. 3 stands to wait it out.
Then former World No. 1, former French Open champion Carlos Moyá – the coach of Raonic – took it upon himself to drag part of the court.
Also – a LOT of funny faces were made. But Raonic’s serve produced a BOOMING sound in Court No. 2, where the acoustics are great. And when he’s got the tongue sticking out, that usually means he’s pretty serious.
