WIMBLEDON – To the defending champion, the honour of opening Centre Court Monday at precisely 1 p.m.
In the shadow of that Centre Court, Novak Djokovic enlisted Radek Stepanek to warm him up at 10:30 p.m. on Court 15, as coach Boris Becker hobbled around offering assistance.
(As a side note, Becker is truly scuffling – the 48-year-old can’t even take two steps on the court to retrieve an errant ball without having to practically hop on one leg).
