MELBOURNE – Open Court’s first Wimbledon was an unforgettable one.
Not only did Venus Williams defeat sister Serena, but Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer played a crazy, epic (an overused term, but applicable in this case) and dramatic five-setter in the final.
It finished in the dark, after a very long day and some rain delays.

Daniel Nestor and partner Nenad Zimonjic won the doubles that year. And a couple of Canadian kids played in the junior doubles – you might remember them: Milos Raonic and Vasek Pospisil.
