Ayala tries in Bouchard coaching consult

It was Genie Bouchard’s first match since a first-round loss at the US Open nearly a month before.

And while she said after the first-round loss to Magdalena Rybarikova in Beijing that she played better than she’d expected,the Canadian wasn’t too receptive to advice from coach Diego Ayala during an on-court coaching consult in the first set.

Ayala, who had worked with Bouchard briefly in 2015, brought some good tactical advice with him. But it didn’t meet with the warmest reception.
