Venus Williams will testify Nov. 9 in the lawsuit brought against her by the widow of Jerome Barson.
Barson died 13 days after a collision between Williams’ SUV and the Hyundai belonging to the 78-year-old grandfather and his wife.
Linda Barson, who was driving, will testify Nov. 8.
The Sun-Sentinel reports some of the defense’s planned strategies.
They will claim Mrs. Barson was “driving carelessly and recklessly”. Also, that the driver of a sedan ahead of Williams held some fault. And that Jerome Barson wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
The estate’s lawyers said several sources of information prove he was.
