The Czech police would love to nail the man who invaded Petra Kvitova’s apartment last December.
But they still can’t find him.
“Despite extensive investigation, we have not managed to identify the attacker to date,” detective Jan Lisicky told reporters Thursday. “We shelved the case on November 8, 2017… but, if we find new facts – if we identify the attacker – we will immediately start criminal proceedings.”
In defending herself against the knife attack, Kvitova damaged the nerves and tendons in the fingers on her playing hand. Amazingly, she returned to action at the French Open less than six months later.
