When you look at the potential of women tennis players, a base criteria is pure athletic ability.

There are a lot of things you can teach. But that’s not one of those things.

As Greek player Maria Sakkari, 22, gradually rises in the rankings, her strong swimmer’s shoulders have drawn attention.

But watch her throwing arm as she airs it out on the players’ field at Indian Wells a few weeks ago. Not just distance, but accuracy.

The catching needs a little work, but no one’s perfect. 🙂
