Spotted on the practice courts of Buenos Aires, with Dominic Thiem and primary coach/manager Gunther Bresnik, was Chilean Davis Cup captain Nicolás Massú.
According to Diario de Tenis, it’s just a one-week thing.
Thiem had Spaniard Galo Blanco as an additional resource. But Blanco took a job with Kosmos, the new boss of Davis Cup.
Massú, a longtime former Tour player who won the Buenos Aires event in 2002, also was on court with countryman Christian Garin. His Davis Cup team will be going to the big final in Madrid in November.
