The changes on the ATP Tour board have received a lot of attention because of Justin Gimelstob’s legal woes, and the decision not to renew CEO Chris Kermode’s contract.
But the WTA also has openings for player representatives.
The terms of Gary Brody (top 20) and Lisa Grattan (21-100 rankings) are up. Players have until April 29 to suggest nominations.
Brody is a lawyer, tennis fan and president of the Marcraft Apparel Group (Unrelatedly, he’s reportedly dating a Real Housewife of New York).
Grattan is the chair of the Women’s Tennis Benefits Association and has been a player class director for more than 15 years.
