Last “Big 3” bachelor ties the knot

Rafael Nadal was the last matrimonial holdout among the big three (four, if you want to add Andy Murray to that mix).

No more holdouts. Nadal tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello last weekend in Mallorca. And they both looked splendid.

It’s an interesting dynamic with these top players.

Through basically their entire careers, they all were one-women men.

Federer and Mirka Vavrinec, Djokovic and Jelena Ristic, Murray and Kim Sears and Nadal and Xisca went steady throughout. And all four couples ended up getting married.

Is that the magic formula? Scientifically unprovable.
