MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

Auger-Aliassime makes every point count

A super initiative from 19-year-old Félix Auger-Aliassime, as he announces a charitable endeavor to help children in his father’s homeland of Togo.

“I feel very lucky to have had a hugely satisfying career so far. But I think it’s time to bring more meaning to it, beyond tennis,” the Canadian said in a video unveiling his #FAAPointsForChange campaign.

With every point he wins during the 2019 season, Auger-Aliassime will donate $5. Major tennis sponsor BNP Paribas will triple that, chipping in $15 for every point.

Auger-Aliassime is partnering with CARE International, a well-respected coalition of some 20 organizations working together to try to end poverty. And also with EDUChange.

Together, they’ll tackle the protection and education of children that African country.

Auger-Aliassime says they hope to reach some 2,500 Togolese kids.

“I hope it’s only the start of a great adventure,” he says.

Great initiative.
