In March 2009, when he was just 18 and ranked No. 804 in the world, Milos Raonic won a $10,000 Futures event held on home ground, indoors at the Rogers Cup site in Montreal.
It was his first pro title. In the final, he defeated Frenchman Grégoire Burquier, then ranked No. 594, who was 24 at the time.
Burquier went on to reach his career singles high of No. 167, 2 1/2 years later. Now 34, he has played just three tournaments in the last five years, and none since Feb. 2017.

Isn’t Robbye Poole a known hitting partner now?
He was Serena Williams’ hitting partner for a number of years, and also worked with Bouchard as a hitting partner/assistant coach for a short period. He’d just finished up a great college career at Ole Miss back then.
He’s had his issues off the court so hasn’t been around much lately. I have spotted him with a couple of young American junior girls at the Slams.
