MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

Raonic in Montreal in 2009 – 15 years ago.

.

In March 2009, when he was just 18 and ranked No. 804 in the world, Milos Raonic won a $10,000 Futures event held on home ground, indoors at the Rogers Cup site in Montreal.

It was his first pro title. In the final, he defeated Frenchman Grégoire Burquier, then ranked No. 594, who was 24 at the time.

Burquier went on to reach his career singles high of No. 167, 2 1/2 years later. Now 34, he has played just three tournaments in the last five years, and none since Feb. 2017.

Here was Raonic’s draw.

The video is grainy, as it was rescued from a long-defunct storage site.

But still fun to watch – 11 years later.
