On the men’s side, things ran more according to form after the Day 2 featured a ton of five-setters and comebacks from two sets to none down.

Mannarino, one of the 11 players who have had more or less stringent extra protocols imposed on them in the wake of the Benoit Paire positive coronavirus test, has still managed to together two straight victories.

After beating Coco Gauff in the first round, Sevastova falls to another youngster.

Tough one for the Frenchwoman, who’s in a similar situation to Mannarino and completed melted down in this one after four match points went begging.
