It was as highly anticipated a final as any in this truncated 2020 season.
But in the end, Rafael Nadal was too strong in his own back yard, as he won his 13th Roland Garros title.
It was a straight-sets, emphatic win over Novak Djokovic in their first meeting in Paris in more than five years.
They say records are made to be broken.
But 13 Roland Garros trophies is probably an exception to that rule.
