Tokyo Olympic Event – Day 7 final results

The medal matches begin, with gold and bronze in the men’s doubles.

The Croatian team of Pavic and Mektic, who have dominated all season, eked out a win over their older countrymen Cilic and Dodig (who would have been an incredible story. But narratives don’t always work the way you might like).

For Novak Djokovic, it was a tough day at the office.

He lost in both men’s singles and mixed doubles, and will play for two bronze medals.
