Still, they were able to get Emma Raducanu – who is the top seed and has a bye and the winner of a pair of qualifiers in the second round.

And they also were able to get Simona Halep, who did not qualify for the Tour Finals this year but seems to still be keen on competing even if she’s newlywed, and it’s the end of the season.
