New coaching job for Frank Dancevic – joins Team Krajinovic

A new face in the players’ box for Serbian player Filip Krajinovic, as Canadian Davis Cup captain Frank Dancevic is on the team this week at the Open Sud de France.

It’s been a good start.

Krajinovic has beaten Alexei Popyrin and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets, and will play qualifier Damir Dzumhur in the quarterfinals Friday.

Dancevic, who will be based out of Belgrade part of the time with the new gig, did some work with Krajinovic in the off-season and debuts officially as his full-time coach this week

He coached countryman Vasek Pospisil through most of the last three seasons, a great asset as the 31-year-old returned from back surgery to the top 100. Their collaboration ended at Indian Wells.

Krajinovic, who did not have a coach in 2021, worked with Janko Tipsarevic in 2020.
