No. 6 Denis Shapovalov, who was looking at a quarterfinal clash with fellow Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime when the draw came out, gets a better deal against qualifier Ricardas Berankis after FAA’s withdrawal.
Not that Berankis is a tomato can. But he’s not Auger-Aliassime. Shapovalov is through.
