–
This week is a writeoff on the WTA side, with Billie Jean King Cup ties going on all over the world.
But the ATP Tour is already back with a Masters 1000, as the tour moves to red clay in earnest with the tournament in picturesque Monte Carlo.
Denis Shapovalov isn’t in the principality (and, relatedly, has pulled out of Barcelona next week). But Félix Auger-Aliassime, a resident, was there and also teamed up for doubles with … Stan Wawrinka.
And … Genie Bouchard is scheduled to make her return after more than a year away, at a $100K ITF in Palm Harbor, Fla. The operative word being “scheduled”.
No news from her, but the draw came out, and she wasn’t in it. A quick trip to New York City, and some promotional stuff for her clothing sponsor in Boston instead.

Add me to the list of people who appreciate all that you do, Stephanie. This is the best site to find out where, & what is happening with our Canadian players. I, also, enjoy your unbiased articles on tennis topics, & on Canadian & non-Canadian players. I can’t help liking, & not liking players, & that seems to cloud my judgement, so I am always amazed at how you remain unbiased.
I too, really appreciate all the work you do, Steph.
I often watch the feeds on my hubby’s computer if he’s not around, while I’m working in my office.
Quick note today… thanks Stephanie for ferreting out all the Canadians playing in all those obscure corners of the world… that must take some time. Most people don’t know of the 8 to 15 ITF tournaments running every week all over the globe. Nice video on a LOT of the matches on the ITF website…. they are doing something right promoting the game.
Hey, thanks for the kind words.
But let’s be real – if they could generate revenue from those streams, they wouldn’t be free 🙂
Definitely for diehards only.
