ROLAND GARROS – Even if Félix Auger-Aliassime didn’t go all the way in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, it was still a pretty sweet hardware week for the Canucks.
On Sunday, former Canadian No. 1 Carol Zhao collected her first singles title since 2017, winning a $25K ITF in Korea without the loss of a set.
And Gabriel Diallo, a 20-year-old Quebec kid who plays for the University of Kentucky, came through and won his first ITF title at a $25K men’s ITF in East Lansing, Michigan.
Unseeded, he upset former Wimbledon junior champion and No. 1 seed Noah Rubin in straight sets in the quarterfinals.
