No. 1 seed Anett Kontaveit’s met the red-hot American Bernarda Pera in the Hamburg final, which was a Saturday final along with the doubles. And as so many opponents have over the last few weeks, Kontaveit went down to the surging American.
In the doubles, Angela Kulikov – in her first career WTA-level tournament at age 24 – and partner Sophie Chang went all the way for the first title.
