FLUSHING MEADOWS, NY – The tournament caught up from the cancelled matches Tuesday. But that meant that several of the young Canadian girls had to double up on singles.
They were successful on their first, not so much on their second.
And it was the end of the tournament for Gabriela Dabrowski and Leylah Fernandez.
There was a Canadian entry into the quad wheelchair singles – not sure we’ve seen that at a Grand Slam. But Robert Shaw was up against it in his debut.
