At 24, Stefanos Tsitsipas was actually part of the “throwback” semifinal at the Paris Masters Saturday.
That’s because 22-year-old Félix Auger-Aliassime and 19-year-old Holger Rune were in the other semifinal.
It was a rematch of their Basel final last week. Auger-Aliassime hit the wall in a matchup that is not in his favour – unless he plays lights-out tennis.
As for Tsitsipas, he was in it the entire way – until the very last moments, when Djokovic’s champion’s mettle came through.
