MELBOURNE, Australia – One Canadian junior in action, and that’s the extent of things on the doubles side as the second week of the 2023 Australian Open “officially” begins.

With Coco Gauff and Barbora Krejcikova eliminated from the singles, they will have more time to devote to their quest for the women’s title although Gauff’s partner, Jessica Pegula, is still well in and onto the quarterfinals.

And, as is often the case with the Aussie wild cards, they’re doing quite well in the doubles and mixed.
