So Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Ons Jabeur and Caroline Garcia were all on tap for Friday.

The battle between Sabalenka and wild card Paula Badosa, which opens up proceedings, was a battle between two players who, by WTA standards, seem to be rather good friends. And it ended up being the best battle of the day.
