ROME – Flavio Cobolli barely had time to digest his monumental Tuesday, as he qualified for the Italian before a ton of friends and family – and a packed house on Court 2.

He got right back at it against Arthur Rinderknech, a better more experienced player but one who was coming back from injury. And in the end, the dream ended.

Also – the draw gods were unkind again as Andy Murray meets wild card (!!) Fabio Fognini in what very possibly could be the last trip to Rome for both. It was dramatic, as Fabio turned back the clock despite an injury layoff and pulled off the win.
