ROME – Not quite the same intrigue on this second day of the men’s main draw. But still some good matches to look out for including clay-courter (and lefty) Guido Pella against AmeriFrenchman Maxime Cressy, the serve and volley kind.

There also is Italian wild card Matteo Arnoldi, who will get huge support on the main stadium in the late match (hopefully a lot of people stay) against Diego Schwartzman.

Any other year, you wouldn’t give the wild card much of a change. But Schwartzman is going through a terrible pass.

Paul and Fritz v McDonald and Tiafoe should be a good American-style dubs.
