It was feast on the Canadian side last week, after so many players were able to compete in the joint men’s and women’s Challenger in Granby.

But it’s more like famine this week; there’s a bit of a black hole in the North American hard-court sked this week, with only a $60K in Dallas on the women’s side.

The men have no Challenger, and the qualifying at the ATP 250 event in Atlanta is only a 16 draw.

So it’s a lot quieter. And there is a very limited number of women. Well, less than that: only Carol Zhao.
