MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

ATP Tour – Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023 final results

Ugo Humbert was in Metz – his hometown. Adrian Mannarino was in Sofia.

The two Frenchmen were two of the last four standing during this 2023 ATP Tour season. And they were battling to be the French No. 1 at the end of Sunday.

Only 10 points apart in the rankings, whomever won his match will do it. If both lost, Humbert would take it.

After that great French men’s generation that is in its twilight, these are probably not the two you’d expect to be in this position, at this time.

But they are finishing strong. And for Humbert, back from outside the top 150, it’s a huge thing – a title, at home, top 20 for the first time, and French No. 1.

(Metz is six hours ahead of EST; Sofia is seven hours ahead).
