–
MELBOURNE, Australia – Only Gaby Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe survived the first part of the Australian Open.
And while both are now out of the mixed, they’re into the semifinals of the women’s doubles having had a pretty sweet draw to get there.
But the rest of the tennis world moves on – to Challengers, higher-level ITFs and entry-level events.

Great result for Carson Branstine, whom Opencourt.ca deservedly featured at https://opencourt.ca/2023/11/14/canada-tennis-winners-draxl-branstine-aguilar/, to win her first W35 by beating the once famous Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva in the last of a series of 8 matches listed in the above, and to get to her highest ITF ranking (of 230), especially after her surgeries.
Those points don’t go on until next week.
“Once famous”? Really?
Any news on when Marina Stakusic will be playing again? Tks.
No idea. She was entered in those 75ks this week and next but withdrew.
