MORE TENNIS THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED

Canucks This Week – Week ending Feb. 4, 2024 (final results)

A smaller crew on the Canuckian beat this week – and fewer tournaments on the docket, too, as Davis Cup play takes place across the spectrum, not just at the top level.

The Canadians got through the Koreans, who gave them some stressful moments but, ultimately, form prevailed.

The WTA returns. And so does the ATP with a tournament in Montpellier that the two top Canadians, Félix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov, were playing instead of Davis Cup.

Shapovalov was on the nominations list until earlier this week. In the end, he got in with his “regular” ranking and doesn’t have to use a protected. Not judging. If you don’t look out for No. 1, no one else will.
