Things actually blew by a few hours earlier than had been predicted, so they got most of the schedule in.

Denis Shapovalov, who got off to a quick start vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas before the rains came, picked right up where he left off in dismissing the No. 10 seed.

Félix Auger-Aliassime took on Alexander Zverev. And not unlike a few weeks ago in Indian Wells, he just … did not have the goods against a top player. Sombre times.
