It wasn’t the women’s singles final anyone was expecting. Which doesn’t mean that it can’t be a blockbuster – given the hugely entertaining semifinals two days ago, it’s more than possible.

Jasmine Paolini has her second shot in a month at her first major title. Barbora Krejcikova has a shot at her second major title – 3 years after her first in Paris in 2021.

On the Canadian side, Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe looked for their second major title in 10 months, after last year’s US Open. But they were denied – outplayed, ever so slightly, by Siniakova and Townsend.
