All of the singles quarterfinals were played, which is probably a good idea in theory but ends up perhaps little too much of a good thing – especially for the fans on hand.

If you’re a fan of one or the other, you have the Sabalenka quarter likely coinciding with the Keys-Bencic quarter on Stadium 2 (this is especially annoying if you’re trying to broadcast all four).

Not to mention you have to have separate tickets for both.

The rain in the forecast was, for the most part, in the morning. So it shouldn’t affect the schedule too much.

Both final-four slates are pretty good, although the men’s matches were overall more compelling than the women’s in the quarters.

But the women’s lineup is about as good as you ask for in the semis.
