ROLAND GARROS – The big (and bad) news on Friday was that top Frenchman Arthur Fils, who came through a five-setter despite an injury in the second round, withdrew from the tournament before an expected box-office clash vs. No. 17 seed Andrey Rublev.
Rublev now gets a pass to the round of 16, and Jack Draper v Joao Fonseca got bumped up from Court Simonne-Mathieu to Court Suzanne-Lenglen.
(Paris is six hours ahead of EDT).
