Wimbledon Day 8 – Gentlemen’s singles final results

All four of these fourth-round matches on the men’s side had their intrigue, with comebacking Marin Cilic, the veteran Grigor Dimitrov and the upstart Lorenzo Sonego all trying to cause upsets.

Worth keeping an eye on Novak Djokovic’s movement; his knee brace reappeared in practice on Sunday. Even though his last couple of matches have been routine and quick. He had his struggles, but in the end he came through.

As did Ben Shelton and Flavio Cobolli.

But the story of the day – the terribly sad one – was Grigor Dimitrov. The snakebitten Bulgarian won the first set sets against No. 1 Sinner – only have to retire when he injured his right pectoral.

(Wimbledon is five hours ahead of EDT).
