The WTA 1000 in Beijing spills over to this week. But there aren’t any Canadians left to hold over, as no one made a big run. So that one is done and dusted.
Starting later this week is the men’s ATP 1000 in Shanghai – Monday for the qualifying, Wednesday start for the unseeded main draw players.
Around the rest of the planet, plenty of players competing from the Challenger, to the WTA 125 down to the ITF level.
Finalists are Filip Peliwo in doubles in Perth, and Taha Baadi in singles in Brazil – both, notably, went through the national training program but now represent other countries.
